FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Glass Replacement FAQ

Yes. In many situations, the window frame remains in excellent condition, and only the insulated glass unit (IGU) has failed or become damaged. Replacing only the glass is often much more affordable than replacing the entire window while restoring energy efficiency and appearance.

The timeline depends on the type of glass. After taking precise measurements, custom insulated glass typically takes 1–3 weeks to manufacture. Once it arrives, installation usually takes 30 minutes to 2 hours per window, depending on the size and complexity of the project.

If condensation or fog appears between the panes, the insulated glass seal has failed. The seal itself cannot be repaired, but we can replace the insulated glass unit while keeping the existing frame whenever possible. This restores clear visibility and improves your home's energy efficiency.
